A Cinderella Bridal Session

LYDIA

This bridal session was so fun for many reasons but to me, the amount of joy that Lydia, her mother, and sister all have is just the icing on the cake – see my wedding reference there 😉 Lydia asked me if she could take photos with her grandmother’s dress and her grandmother as she isn’t in the best health currently and didn’t want to miss out on a special moment with her grandmother. After photographing Lydia’s bridals, I think everyone, if possible, should have a first look with their grandmothers at their bridal session it’s probably my favorite – EVER.

First, we took photos of Lydia wearing her grandmothers beautiful and TINY wedding dress that was later displayed at the wedding (and spoiler alert Grandma WAS at the wedding and was a BEAUTIFUL flower girl!) Then changed into her own wedding dress and we had a special private dress reveal for Grandma and it was so special – there were definitely tears flowing behind the lens!

I also loved that Lydia wanted to include her sweet pup in her photos, the “dog of honor”. We photographed all around the Baker Building where Lydia was married this past Saturday as well where she works almost every week coordinating as well as photographing beautiful weddings for many other brides over the years with the Baker Building and Eventfully Yours teams. Then we headed down to Mackenzie Park for a natural “enchanted woods” feel – well as much as is possible in Lubbock! I think we did a pretty good job though! Lydia was an absolute vision at her bridal session as well as on her wedding day and you will agree from this post and also their wedding post that will be live tomorrow!

It was such an honor to capture all of these amazing special moments for such a wonderful woman and family, and FRIEND. Thank you Lydia for choosing me to photograph your bridals I enjoyed EVERY second of it!

Enjoy some of my favorites of Lydia in her STUNNING bridal portraits!
