BURGUNDY FALL WEDDING AT COTTON CREEK BARN

From the Archives

TOBIN + KELSEY

When Kelsey asked me to photograph their Wedding, Engagements, and her Bridals I was so excited! And I was even more excited when she asked if I would design their save the dates and invitation as well as do the calligraphy for their envelopes! I knew their wedding was going to be beautiful when she was picking out colors and making decisions on the invitation design, and I was not disappointed on Oct 13th – everything was GORGEOUS!

I arrived around 2:00pm (a little early) to check out everything because the weather forecast was not exactly ideal so I could get a game plan for “just incase”. When I walked in to the bridal suite all of the girls were having so much fun – as you should on a wedding day! Kelsey and all of her bridesmaids were calm and enjoying the day!

Tobin and Kelsey have been friends of my husband and I since we have dated. Tobin and two of the groomsmen (Tobin’s brother Tanner, and friend Geoff) have been good friends with my husband, Blaze, since they were all in high school. Tanner and Geoff were both in our wedding four years ago – so it was fun to get to see good friends celebrating!

Kelsey requested a first look with her dad, and the sun came out just before and the photos turned out beautifully! I love first looks, they always make me cry and start the reality of the wedding day – that in a couple of hours, you are saying vows to the person of your dreams!

If you have never been to Cotton Creek Barn in New Home and are looking to get married – it is a beautiful oasis of a venue. In West Texas, Trees… mature trees are hard to come by and this venue has done an amazing job at creating a feeling of being in the mountains with the cedars that line the property. The wedding was outside under a beautiful pergola at 6:00pm and even though there was a chance of rain, and of course no one wants that on their wedding day, everyone had a positive attitude! P.S. the rain held and the sun was shining for the entire ceremony and reception!! The details were on point. Their families were so incredibly supportive, and Tanner in his Best Man speech, put it very well when he asked Tobin and Kelsey to take a moment and look around the room to see how much they are loved and supported by so many family and friends. This wedding was proof that if you are well loved, anything happen with your village surrounding you!

The wedding ceremony was beautiful (as expected!), the dinner and reception were a good time – but my all time favorite moment of the entire day was seeing the genuine love and awe on Tobin’s face when he first saw Kelsey walking down the aisle.

Tobin and Kelsey, I am so happy for both of you and I know you have a loving and supportive family. I felt so incredibly loved from the moment we arrived until the exit. I am so thankful for families that make me feel like a part of their world and welcome me with open arms!

Enjoy my favorite images from their gorgeous day! Thank you to all who helped make Tobin and Kelsey’s day wonderful!!
