Historic Baker Building Winter Bridal Portrait Session | Lubbock, Texas

MATTIE

I am always so excited when brides ask for a bridal session! Especially when I’m working with brides like Mattie! I just love her and I’m actually feeling a little bittersweet writing up this blog post because it’s her last post! I can’t believe their wedding has already happened! I feel like we were just emailing about how she had just gotten engaged!! Is it just me or does time seem to fly by faster and faster the older we get? So back to Mattie! Mattie requested to take her bridals at The Historic Baker Building where she got married this past weekend in addition to a little white church next to the Lubbock Arboretum!  I got to meet her amazing mom and it was a blast! Her mom was so sweet and was the best veil tosser and dress fluffer! My job was so easy! Mattie and her mom met me at The Historic Baker Building and I was just in awe at how stunning she was! Her dress was fitted perfectly! We had a great start to her session at the baker building and then ended the session outside at the Lubbock Arboretum. It’s like God gave us a gift allowing the West Texas wind to calm as well as a rare warm day for the beginning of February!

I loved walking around The Historic Baker Building and the little white chapel at the Lubbock Arboretum with Mattie and her sweet mom! I don’t what I loved more… the portraits or the time I spent with amazing people! It’s such a blessing to get to meet such awesome people through my job. Even though Taylor and Mattie’s wedding is over, I feel so lucky to have them as new friends that we will cherish for a lifetime! Enjoy some of my favorites from Mattie’s shoot and let me know which is your favorite!!! 🙂
