A Navy and Rose Gold Summer Wedding at Autumn Oaks

What a wedding to remember! Matt and Jordan are the sweetest couple. You can just feel it when you’re with them! You can see it when you watch them interact. You can hear it in the stories that their family members and best friends shared about them. They are truly soulmates and best friends. They have an undeniable love for one another and that is why even a HOT June wedding day could be incredibly joyful!!

I showed up on the wedding day and the venue, Autumn Oaks Event Center, was already decorated beautifully by the talented Eventfully Yours Team. I started the day by photographing details outside of the bridal suite, the bridal party was so incredibly helpful and extremely positive and supportive of Matt and Jordan having the best day! Extremely kind to me and Megan, of Megan Reddekopp Photography, my second photographer. Matt and Jordan had picked the most amazing venue for their wedding day. I was also super excited they decided on a first look because they ended up with so many beautiful portraits!

They shared the sweetest first look before the ceremony and this allowed us to photograph ALL of the bridal party portraits BEFORE the ceremony – in fact, one of the groomsmen asked me “are we really done with photos? we don’t have to take any after the ceremony?” and I replied, “Nope! Only if you are family!” and this was probably not the only groomsman in the history of ever to be excited about this! Yes, THE BRIDAL PARTY GETS TO GO TO HAPPY HOUR after the ceremony when you do a first look, I realize that the wedding is not all about them, but I have seen so many very happy bridesmaids and groomsmen due to this on numerous wedding days when we do a first look and are able to get all of the bridal party photos done before the ceremony starts! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful! Matt and Jordan had everyone in attendance take a selfie with their family and friends they attended the wedding with and send it to them – how fun of an idea is that! I was also so excited that we got a beautiful West Texas sunset for some more portraits of Matt and Jordan while guests were eating dinner!

What an honor it was to capture their day!!! Megan and I loved getting to meet Jordan and Matt’s families, celebrate alongside of them and document their love!!! Enjoy my favorites!
