A Dusty Blue Spring Wedding at the Historic Baker Building

KOLLIN + KAYLYN

The most beautiful wedding day at the Historic Baker Building in downtown Lubbock, Texas took place this past weekend. I am so very thankful that I was selected by Kaylyn and Kollin to capture it. As a wedding photographer, you see many weddings, many venues, many couples, this was one of my favorites. Not because of how gorgeous it was, and absolutely was. But because of the joy that radiated from this wedding day all of the bridal party, family, guests, and from Kollin and Kaylyn. It truly was a wonderful day! So many wonderful vendors also made this day along with Kaylyn’s impeccable taste in florals and style, making my job so incredibly fun. Everything was gorgeous and ready to go due to the seamless teams of the Historic Baker Building and Eventfully Yours Wedding and Event Planning.

If you are a bride and want a beautiful and stress-free wedding day, do yourself a favor and hire Julie and her team. The memories of how you felt on your wedding day are as important as the lasting photos, and including a planner/day-of coordinator is something that I have witnessed as totally worth the investment. Now more on Kaylyn and Kollin’s day!

When I arrived at the Historic Baker Building all of the girls were finishing up their hair and makeup upstairs in the bridal suite, and I knew it was going to be a wonderful day when I could hear laughter and an excellent playlist coming from the bridal suite. Hayly, my second photographer and dear friend, got straight to work on details and capturing the girls having fun in the bridal suite. To say this day was smooth sailing would be accurate! It is rare that a wedding day is on-time 90% of the time, but this day was one of the best! The girls were all so great and I enjoyed meeting all of them and taking fun photos prior to the guys arriving! Kaylyn and Kollin exchanged letters and gifts of which both were incredibly sweet to witness their expressions. If you were to ask me what my favorite thing about a wedding day is, it would be that I sometimes feel that I am watching a movie and as the viewer of the movie you see all aspects of the story that even the characters don’t entirely see, and then I get the opportunity to share that story here with you on the blog and through an album.

As with all weddings I have witnessed at the gorgeous Baker Building the wedding processional is absolutely stunning and so grand every single time, this one included. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was an absolute blast! Something that I also thought was so fun was that Kaylyn had “The Abbes” in marquee letters on the dance floor giving a gorgeous backdrop for dances and toasts. The night ended with a beautiful bride and groom dance and a fun sparkler send-off exit!

Thank you so much Kaylyn and Kollin for choosing me as your wedding photographer, your love radiates to all around you and I truly am blessed to know you met your wonderful friends and family in addition to capturing your beautiful day!

Enjoy some of my favorites of their gorgeous wedding day!!!
