Taylor + Mattie | Lubbock, Texas
You know how great it feels to be around someone who just makes you feel like you can be 100% yourself?
It’s the best feeling! That’s how I feel around Taylor and Mattie! These two are incredibly laid back and joyful. Their entire engagement session was filled with laughter, and I loved every second of it! Taylor and Mattie were refferred to me by the amazing Julie Hodges! Thank’s Julie! I met up with Mattie to answer any questions she had about all things photography and we ended up chatting for 2 hours and laughing most of the time! Her laugh and her happiness is contagious. You can’t help but love being around her!!
For the session we ventured around part of the Lakeridge Country Club area with a 60% rain chance. I have to say… I was praying the entirety of the shoot that the Summer thunderstorm that was skirting Lubbock, moved west. I know, I am probably the only person in Lubbock that was praying for it to NOT rain at that moment! The Lord delivered big, we ended up with NO wind, the light was gorgeous, the setting was perfect, and these two made modeling look easy! I can’t wait for the wedding day! Even though we won’t have the summer green trees and grass for their March wedding, it’s still going to be absolutely gorgeous at the Historic Baker Building downtown! I can’t wait to see Mattie as a bride!
These two have been together since HIGH SCHOOL…. yes, high school! Isn’t that amazing! I thought Blaze and I had been together for a long time! I just love their story and that I get to document this part of it!
